Therapeutic Yoga Classes Online

Yoga therapy is Lifestyle Medicine for those over 50 supporting access to establish and improve balance, strengthen the body, and enhance mental resilience.

With age, our bodies and minds change, and it is important to adapt your yoga practice to meet these changing needs. Yoga therapy is an effective way to maintain balance, strength, and overall well-being.

By practicing in a way that challenges your sense of balance, you can improve your stability, prevent muscle and bone loss,  and reduce the risk of falls.  Therapeutic Yoga practice includes focus on strengthening the core and upper body in order to maintain our physical strength and independence.

In addition to physical benefits, yoga therapy can also be an effective way to reduce stress and promote relaxation.  By practicing pranayama (breathing techniques) and focusing on the present moment, you begin to let go of stress and anxiety, promoting a sense of calm and well-being.  By focusing on the breath, you bring balance back into the body and mind, promoting overall health and well-being.

A regular yoga therapy practice can help those over 50 maintain physical and mental resilience, adapting yoga postures and breathing practices to meet changing needs. Whether you are new to yoga or have been practicing for years, there is always more to learn and explore, making it a practice that can continue to benefit us throughout our lives.
