In Depth Yoga Study: Continuing Education for Yoga Teachers (prerequisite 200 hour yoga training)
Teaching Therapeutic Yoga is a very interpersonal endeavor, we learn more about ourselves through teaching: primarily that we need to know more. Meeting the second weekend of each month, this training contributes depth to your teaching. We will focus each training weekend on one subject developing depth and breadth of knowledge to enhance our skills as a yoga teacher.
8 Hours/Month Continuing Education
For the first time in over 20 years, I have experienced sustained relief from lower back pain as I have learned new ways to move and build strength in Anne’s yoga classes. This experience drove me to wonder what’s behind this amazing approach. So I signed up for the 200 hour In Depth Yoga Study Program.
It has been extremely illuminating for me. I have learned so much about human anatomy and the way muscles work together within the skeletal framework to create movement. We have studied and practiced postures and we have deeply dived into the study of breath and many other dimensions of the yoga practice. We have had hours of hands-on practice and the learning is extremely experiential.
The therapeutic approach offers multiple levels of challenge or ease for individual needs. That’s probably my favorite part of understanding this work more deeply: honoring each individual’s journey, including my own. I’ve learned to become more patient with myself and to tune in to what I need in the moment.
Anne Basco is an amazing teacher. She is incredibly knowledgeable, using multiple references and sources in her teaching as well as bringing in her experience as physical therapist. She authentically loves yoga, and her enthusiasm makes every class energetic and positive.
I cannot recommend the In Depth Study program highly enough.~L.R.
