Online Group Classes
Yoga Therapy is about finding balance and connection within yourself, not about achieving perfection. Remember to take breaks and listen to your body. It is important to respect your limits and not push yourself too hard. Finally, remember to breathe and stay present in the moment.
- Have a yoga mat to practice on.
- Wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement. Loose-fitting clothing is generally preferred over tight clothing.
- Make sure you are hydrated and have access to water during your practice.
- Have any necessary props nearby, such as yoga blocks, bolster, and strap. You may wish to dedicate a prop box or basket.
- Please be sure to communicate any injuries or limitations with Anne before live classes before beginning your practice.
- It is also helpful to have a clear intention or goal for your practice, whether it be to relax and de-stress, improve flexibility, or address a specific health concern.

It is important to create a comfortable and organized space for your yoga practice, whether it be in a dedicated room or a quiet corner of your home. Gathering any necessary props, such as blocks, straps, or blankets, and having them easily accessible in a basket or box can help you feel prepared and ready for your practice. Remember to dress in comfortable clothing and make sure you are hydrated before beginning your practice.
When joining a virtual therapeutic yoga class, it is helpful to log in a few minutes early to communicate with Anne, greet friends and acquaintances and get settled in your practice space. You may want to turn off your video feed if you are not yet ready to be seen, and make use of the chat box if you have any questions or need clarification during class. The host will typically disable cameras and microphones during the class to allow for a smooth and uninterrupted stream.
Remember to stay present and focus on your breath as you practice, and trust in your own ability to find balance and connection within yourself. Yoga therapy is a journey, not a destination, and every practice is an opportunity to grow and learn.
