Anatomy and Asana Study for Yoga Teachers

As a Yoga Teacher, your understanding of functional anatomy is essential. Build on your basic foundations of anatomy understanding and begin to develop observation skills and operational dexterity as an instructor to help the myriad of presentations your students bring to the mat. We will look at structure and function along with anatomical functional changes that occur with aging, injury, and health conditions. You will have an opportunity to work with both static and dynamic anatomical relationships that effect the function of yoga postures.

Basic musculoskeletal anatomy
Connective tissue with focus on fascia
Physical changes that effect function
Adapting: implications of static and dynamic
Dates are tentative; eight hours training, four hours each day.

One Weekend: $160

Six Weekends: $864, paid in full by January 1, 2015
